I want to quickly highlight some events for the next month and a half.

First, coming up on October 15, we are doing a Hike and Praise. We will be going up to Santa Rosa Plateau for a hike and a time of worship on the trails. We will meet at the church at 4:00PM on Saturday then carpool together up to the reserve. We need adults who are willing to drive the teens up there. We can grab dinner after if there are enough interested.

Next, we have our annual Costume Party at the Sturgis' on October 30. It is going to be a last. Many of the college students are volunteering to help this be the greatest Costume Party that we have ever had. You don't want to have your teens miss it.

On November 4-6, we have Impact Jr. High retreat. This is a one of a kind retreat designed specifically with Jr. High students in mind. There are devotionals, worship, games, active learning experiences, and small groups discussions all planned to benefit Jr. High students. If you have a child in this age group you can grab a form in the lobby to sign them up. It's going to be a great weekend.

On November 18 & 19, we have Lunches for Jesus planned. On Friday night we will meet at the church building at 6PM to make lunches for homeless people and we will receive training on reaching out the to homeless population we are reaching out to. Then we will reconvene Saturday morning and head to Santa Monica to deliver the lunches and reach out to the homeless people there. Then on Sunday evening, November 20, we will be going to a concert in Ontario call Winter Jam. The cost for the concert is $10 and the artists featured are some of Christian Musics top artists. Those artists included but not limited to are: Newboys, Kutless, Matthew West, Red, and Fireflight. It will be a great concert and a wonderful weekend for our ministry.

As you can see, the next month or so is packed with events for your children and family. I hope that you can participate is as much as possible and make it a priority to be involved. If you have any questions please let me know.

Dan
